Michelle Obama’s Diamond Glamour

24 01 2009

Michelle Obams’s love for diamonds was obvious at the Inauguration Ball of her husband Barrack Obama, the first African-American President of The United States of America. The lady dazzled in these sparkling stones that set off her  breathtaking ivory colored dress.

There was much speculation about what the brand new First Lady would wear at the Inauguration ceremony till the last minute, and the Isabel Toledo design she chose to wear looked not just refreshing but also extremely chic. The soft shimmer of yellow and green that the dress exuded was a powerful messenger of an escalating fashion era that the nation would shortly witness, especially, the promising young designers. The First Lady proved that she doesn’t feel the need to explore designs from the other side of the globe, when there exists such fine talent in the country itself. The matching green gloves added to the appeal of the ensemble and the minimum presence of jewelry added sheer sophistication. This lady sure knows how to dress in a way that makes an impact.
